Now, let’s apply what we’ve learned from this study guide into your own life and organizing.

  1. Think about the community you are a part of—could be a workplace, school, group of friends, the city you live in—how do you see reproductive justice issues manifest within these communities? Who is more at risk and vulnerable and why?

  2. What policies/legislation around reproductive justice exist today that affect you or more marginalized groups? Think about policies at the federal level as well as the state level.

  3. Brainstorm a few ways that you can organize within a small community you are a part of to advocate for reproductive justice. What do the first steps of organizing look like to you?

  4. Advocates for Youth is a nonprofit organization that advocates for reproductive health/rights/justice alongside thousands of youth. How can letting youth lead the way toward organization for reproductive justice occur within your community? Here is their website to get some ideas.

  5. Read through the national sexuality education standards according to Planned Parenthood here. Think back to your sex education, what standards were and were not present? How would you change your sex education experience to better promote reproductive justice?
